Natural colors of fruit and vegetables aren’t just decoration on our plate and feast for our eyes. First of all there is benefit for our physical and mental health. Fruit contains 80% of water, same as human body. Such a high percentage of water improves the work of the kidney and cleaning from harmful substances and toxins. Variety of vitamins, minerals, mecca, amino acids and lipids comes from fresh fruit and this mixture is necessary for healthy organism.
Actually, it doesn’t require energy at all! Here’s why : human body convert food into glucose, fructose, glycerin, amino acids and lipids. Brain functions are based on glucose (sugar). Fruit provides glucose. For digestion, absorption and assimilation of fruit organism is using a much smaller amount of energy than for other food. Fruit is not sailed in stomach. It is passing through stomach for 20 to 30 minutes like it’s using a tunnel. Without sailing a lot of energy is saved. Same energy is automatically used for purification of body from toxins. It’s the healthy way to lose weight. This is naturally process if you are consuming fruit properly.
Fruit has it’s healing and health improving qualities because it contains antioxidants (first of all Vitamin C; carotenoids as Beta carotene; flavonoids). Antioxidants are great health preservers as they disable harmful and dangerous effects of free radicals. Large amount of free radicals are damaging body stations in blood vessels and in other tissues and organs (example: due to inhaling tobacco smoke and air pollution, unrecommended sun exposure, consuming deeply fried food, red meat, delicatessen with nitrates or overeating high-calorie food).
If you are not great fan of fruit but you are aware of it’s benefits, you can start with squeezed fruit juices. Eventually this will become habit and you will notice that your appetite for fruit is growing.
